FAQS

How much experience do you have?

Over 20 years, in public and private sectors.

We are currently providing advice and guidance to achieve either or both BREEAM or SBD accreditation to several FTSE 100 companies.

We have extensive experience dealing with residential, industrial, commercial and retail sites.

What qualifications do you have?

We were educated relative to our former public sector roles, but our qualifications are recognised as equivalent to degree standard.

Our qualifications are recognised in the private sector. They allow registration with Secured by Design, allow staff to operate as an SQSS, provide evidence of knowledge to achieve the SABRE licensed status and afford membership to a security association.

Many of these organisations require evidence of continued professional development on an annual basis to evidence currency of knowledge. You can be confident we view our currency of knowledge as a fundamental requirement to an effective consultancy service.

How much will this service cost?

Costs are calculated on a site by site basis, taking into account level/type of accreditation required, and proposed length of consultation (how many RIBA stages).

Providing a fee proposal is subject to review of development plans and associated documentation and is a free of charge service.

We encourage potential clients to obtain quotations from others as we believe our costs are the most competitive on the market.

How long will the assessment take?

This is dependent on where the site is, what type of accreditation is required and where in the RIBA Plan of Work the development is (some sites require a visit as part of some accreditation processes).

We do however offer a 28 day dispatch post any instruction to proceed, irrespective of the site current position.

Will all your sites be accredited?

This is reliant on what needs to be achieved.

We provide expert advice in relation to BREEAM, SABRE or SBD accreditation.

We have sites where a security strategy has been developed outside the scope of a certification process.

For formal accreditation, we can advise on which certification scheme is appropriate and what security features are necessary to achieve certification.

How would you provide advice?

All recommendations are supplied within a written report and are dispatched to the clients by their preferred method.

We have however, particularly when timeframes dictate, provided verbal or bullet point feedback to clients to allow the design to progress. We then reinforce these requirements with a written report at a later time.

Are you insured?

We have employer liability, professional indemnity and public and product liability cover for your peace of mind.

Do you have a portfolio?

We cannot share specific information in relation to sites we have commented upon.

We are able to provide information in relation to some of the clients we have worked with – check our projects tab to see the clients we are able to identify.
